Offering you a bright path to weather a crisis

Making your home safe can save you time, money and aggravation. Taking steps on a routine basis may prevent severe damage from occurring to your home and is easier than you may think.

SIMPLE STEPS YOU CAN TAKE TO PREVENT A WATER CLAIM

The leading cause of claims filed in the State of Florida is generally related to water damage. Below are a few preventive measures you can take today to significantly reduce your damage:

  • Know where your home’s main water shut off valve is located and ensure it is in proper working order.
  • Label the main water shut off valve so others may find it quickly in case of an emergency.
  • Consider purchasing a water detection device from your local hardware store or from a local vendor.

Edison Insurance Company’s number one priority is the safety of you and your family, as such, we have partnered with Watercop to provide you with a 20% savings on the purchase of their water mitigation device in your home. This device will close the main water valve, stopping the flow of water into the home when a water leak comes in contact with the sensor on the device, thereby limiting further damage.
